Indian destination Wedding in Tuscany
Indian Destination Wedding in Tuscany
Once upon a time, there was an American-Indian couple, the rolling Tuscan countryside, and a cascade of colorful flowers…
From the very first time I spoke with Chiara about Brooke and Kartik’s wedding, I was incredibly excited to be part of it.
“Silvia,” she told me, “it’s going to be a two-day event, with the Indian ceremony on day one and a Western-style wedding on day two. They’re so sweet, so in love with each other—and you know what? She’s chosen full-on colorful flowers!”
I couldn’t wait to be there.
I’ll dedicate a separate post to day two—today, let’s focus on day one and the incredible Saptapadi ceremony, the traditional Indian ritual of the seven sacred steps, held at Casa Cornacchi—a romantic hilltop estate nestled among olive groves and vineyards.
This wasn’t just a wedding. It was a heartfelt celebration of family, connection, and togetherness.
From the moment I arrived, I felt deeply welcomed—as if I were stepping into an intimate family gathering.
Brooke, glowing in a stunning beaded purple lehenga, and Kartik, beaming with pride, exchanged vows surrounded by the people who love them most.
One of the most powerful moments for me as a photographer was witnessing the Saptapadi. Capturing the intimacy of that ancient ritual—set against the timeless beauty of the Tuscan landscape—was both humbling and magical.
It’s moments like this that remind me exactly why I do what I do.
A heartfelt thank you to Chiara Bencini of Yes I Do in Tuscany, the amazing wedding planner who brought every detail together with grace, joy, and so much heart. Her experience and sensitivity with multicultural weddings made this destination celebration truly unforgettable.
Brooke and Kartik’s wedding was all about presence. About two souls honoring their traditions while creating something beautifully unique and entirely their own.
For anyone dreaming of an Indian destination wedding in Tuscany that’s warm, vibrant, and filled with meaning—know that it’s possible. Especially when it’s guided by love.
