Katrine and Trond – Lake Orta Wedding

Once Upon a Time there was a sunny day in June, a norwegian bride and a magical lake in northen Italy… Lake Orta Wedding.

It’s really amazing for a wedding photographer, when you get call to shot in a unusual location. I’m really addicted to Tuscany, but when I was call by my friend Leandro to be his second shooter for a norwegian Lake Orta wedding, I really gone crazy for this.

Lake Orta is the smallest lake of northen Italy, and one of his most beautiful town is Orta San Giulio, where the wedding took place.

Kathrine and Trond are a very sweet couple from Norway: they came this long way with their two sweet sons, to get married in a civil ceremony over the river of Lake Orta. The set up was very simple and elegant, dominated by pastel colours.

After the ceremony, closed with a Norwegian blessing, we get with the boat to S.Giulio isle, the very small isle in the center of the lake. in this magical and fairytale place we make the couple shooting, and even if Kathrine and Trond were shy and reserved, their love got over everything, at the end.

After the couple shooting we went back to Hotel S.Rocco, where Kathrine got ready in the morning, for the reception and the wedding party. Hotel S.Rocco is perfect for a Lake Orta Wedding: you can set up the dinner just on the river of the lake, and be amazed by the colours of the sunset on the lake.

I really want to thank you my friend Leandro for the opportunity he gave me, to shoot this amazing Lake Orta Wedding as his second shooter. When two photographer make a perfect collaborations, stunning wedding photos came from it.
