Tuscany Wedding at Borgo Castelvecchi

Once Upon a time there was a medieval Borgo in Tuscany, the incredible smile of a happy bride and some Lego Minifigures…

There’s something truly magical about an intimate destination wedding in Tuscany. And when it happens in a timeless venue like Borgo Castelvecchi, surrounded by rolling vineyards and medieval charm, you just know it’s going to be special.

In May 2025, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the beautiful wedding of Lottie and Kirk, a young couple from the UK who decided to say “I do” under the Tuscan sun. With just 50 of their closest family and friends, their day was filled with genuine smiles, heartfelt moments, and an overwhelming sense of joy.

A Wedding Full of Heart

From the moment I arrived, I could feel the energy—light, warm, and completely real. Lottie and Kirk didn’t just plan a wedding, they created a space to celebrate love without stress, surrounded by the people who mean the most to them. Lottie had a lot of fun during the getting ready with her sister and bridesmaids, Kirk gifted his groomsmen custom Lego Minifigures for each one of them! (And as you may know I’m a Lego collector so I was amazed by the idea!!)

The ceremony took place outdoors, in the intimate garden of Borgo Castelvecchi (@borgocastelvecchi), officiated by a close friend of the couple, that made the entire ceremony personal and special. Everyone was deeply involved, but especially the bride and groom: these two couldn’t stop smiling at each other the entire day.

What stood out most? Their spontaneity and happiness. They were completely present, living every second of their wedding day with ease and joy—no rush, no stress, just love. It was a true reminder of why I love capturing intimate weddings like this.

Why Borgo Castelvecchi is Perfect for an Intimate Wedding in Tuscany

As a photographer, weddings at Borgo Castelvecchi never disappoint. The venue blends historic charm with relaxed countryside vibes, making it ideal for couples planning an intimate wedding in Tuscany.

The views are breathtaking, the atmosphere serene, and every corner is photogenic. I love so much the dinner setting, with the fairylights and the stone walls of the villa behind the couple: it gives incredible vibes, just like a dinner at home in Tuscany between friends and family, as we locals are used to do in summer. It just feels so good!

Final Thoughts

If you’re dreaming of a relaxed, joy-filled destination wedding in Tuscany, take a page from Lottie and Kirk’s book: focus on what matters most—love, laughter, and living the moment. And when you find the right setting, like Borgo Castelvecchi, the rest will fall into place.
